About Climate Action WEEK
What CAW really is
Climate Action Week Maldives 2026 is a premier global youth sustainability program taking place from 10 December , in a hybrid format both virtually and physically in the Maldives.
The event will bring together young leaders, professionals, policymakers, activists, innovators, and changemakers from across the globe, aged 18 to 50, to collaborate on building sustainable solutions to climate challenges.
This fully funded program is designed to empower youth voices in the global climate agenda, equip participants with the tools to drive change in their communities, and foster meaningful dialogue between decision-makers and the next generation of sustainability leaders. Climate Action Week Maldives 2026 is more than just a gathering it’s a movement to accelerate action on climate change and ensure youth are at the heart of decision-making processes

Funded Application Process
Steps you have to follow

STEP 1Online Application• Complete the official online application form.
• Share your background, motivation, and commitment to SDGs & climate action.
• Attach required documents (CV/resume, ID/passport, statement of purpose). -
STEP 2Shortlisting• Applications will be reviewed by the selection committee.
• Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on leadership potential, impact, and diversity. -
STEP 3Interview / Verification• Selected applicants may be invited for a short online interview or verification round.
• Purpose: assess communication skills, motivation, and alignment with program goals. -
STEP 4Final Selection & Funding Confirmation• Successful candidates will receive an official acceptance letter.

Eligibility Criteria to Apply
- Open to individuals aged 15 to 50 from all nationalities and backgrounds.
- We welcome applicants from all fields, whether you're a high school or university student, startup founder, policy researcher, educator, climate activist, or volunteer. No specific academic background is required, only a clear commitment to making a positive impact.
- The working language of the summit is English, so participants must be comfortable engaging in discussions and activities in English.
- You must be available to attend the full summit and actively participate in all sessions.

Scholarships for CAW 2026
Climate Action Week – Maldives 2026 offers 5 Fully Funded seats, 25 Partially Funded seats, 100 Forum Access seats, and 170 Self-Funded seats. A small non-refundable application fee applies to Fully and Partially Funded applicants. Submission does not guarantee selection, as all applications are reviewed competitively by an independent panel. If you prefer not to compete for funded seats, you can still reserve a Self-Funded or Forum Access spot and join the program.
